just answer the questions

What constitutes a knowledge system (KS)—the attributes and characteristics?

I can not do this in a timely manner – the idea needs to circulate around my head for a bit to understand it. Right now, I am putting it through a lens of libertarianism, which is a worry! that idea of individual responsibility.

the assumptions we make?

What role do KSs play in the society?

I am trying to think about this by thinking about the assumptions that I make when I have conversations with others.

Why must we rethink the knowledge systems we mostly engage with?

Our current system manifests oppression, climate change, consumerism, environmental destruction.. we are facing another great extinction, and that could include us! an existential threat that many are oblivious to.

Outline the issues/challenges and opportunities.

the number of people on this planet, the plutocratic nature of choosing leaders…

Fear – of change, threats to deeply held beliefs – beliefs that hold together other beliefs.. like having the rug pulled out from under you – a similar change for some as losing their religion (REM :-)).

We could create a better world!

How can indigenous knowledge systems be utilised?

Many are closer to nature… take as the first point the health of the earth, mother nature, which is currently in a state of distress. IT is the problem we need to resolve – put first or face extinction. Though I learned this through doing environmental science at University, and being brought up in deep ecology.

What is its place amongst other knowledge systems and the convergence?

? the same? just another one? interesting?
